General Care Instructions
Â
All wood is living and breathing, sudden temperature changes and humidity can cause the timber to expand and contract with seasons. This is a normal process which is not concerning.

We recommend checking the table leg attachments periodically as they can loosen over time. Please re-tighten when necessary and avoid over-tightening.

Please do not drag the table or legs when moving. Ask for assistance and lift the table with a minimum of two people.
Â
We recommend re-applying a clear protective top coat to the furniture to protect surface and maintain quality as needed- usually every two years depending on traffic usage.

Our top coat helps protect the timber, however placemats and coasters are recommended to further protect the integrity of the timber. Do not place direct heat on the table from pots or hot mugs. Do not leave water or other liquids or residues on the surface of the table. We recommend blotting out any spills or sticky residue that come into contact with the timber as soon as possible using a slightly damp cloth followed by a dry towel to remove remaining moisture. Do not use harsh cleaners.

If the table is to be kept outdoors without shelter from the elements, you will need to re-coat the table every 1-2 years, this time frame may vary depending on the amount of sun, dew/condensation, rain etc. that the table endures. Covering the table is recommended to keep the table looking fresh and lengthens the time between re-coats.

The process for a re-coat for indoor and outdoor tables to keep them looking fresh consists of a light hand sand with 400 grit sandpaper, then dust off thoroughly. Apply 1-2 coats of the Osmo top coat required for your product (see photo of top coat product sent to at the time of purchase) with a good quality varnishing brush (allow 24 hours dry time between coats).

We take a deposit to place your order in the production queue. Once your deposit is received, your place is then held in the queue. Completion Dates
We are a small family-run business and life happens, people get sick, machines need maintenance and there are always ever changing variables in the manufacturing process which can affect the completion dates. While most customers have been happy with our production times which usually run closely to schedule, the completion dates given are an estimate time we predict with our current schedule, it is not your definite date of completion. We won’t know your exact completion time until finishing stages when we contact you for pickup or delivery, please keep this in mind when you are enquiring for an update on your orders progress.
Â
Deliveries
We are a small business and deliveries can take up a significant amount of our time. We deliver your item ourselves so we can take the care it needs to deliver it intact. Due to this we schedule deliveries when our schedule and production allows and they are not flexible. We usually do not know the delivery date until a few days before delivery due to ever changing variables in the manufacturing process. If you are unable to be there for delivery please arrange to have someone present at the time of delivery. If this is not possible your delivery will have to be scheduled at a future date which may not be known at the time. Thank you for your understanding.
Â
Pickups
When we are in the finishing stages for your item (approx. 3 days before completion) we will contact you for a pickup window for your order. The window gives you the option of 3 days to pickup your item. Please pick one of these days, we are not overly flexible on pickups as we do not have room to store tables for any length of time.
Â
Stains and Finishes
Please note when picking a stain or finish the stain may vary from the chart depending on how the timber picks up the stain colour as each piece is unique. When viewing images of the completed product in a certain stain, please take note that the colour may vary due to lighting and the angle the photo is taken. Your homes lighting or where your table is placed may look different to what you may see in our images.
Â
Finished Product
The timber we use is full of the unique characteristics of wood. All of our tables are handmade and have characteristics of real timber which has imperfections, small cracks and splits. We fill some of these imperfections but leave a few for a rustic natural finish. These features should be appreciated as part of the look of the table, not as defects.
